The leaves of the Acers (commonly known as maples) get scorched when the temperature rises. Once they have withered, there is nothing we can do to remedy it. We recommend NOT to defoliate it or cut the leaves. We will simply let the plant be the one to remove the leaf in due time. This process is the most natural. In autumn, the bud closes when the leaf falls and doesn’t grow again because the cold of winter will keep it dormant. Your Acer will be fit and ready next spring.
